This is for the people who don't wear makeup, but want to try a little, people who don't have time to do a lot of makeup, and new makeup enthusiasts. As time goes on, I will dive deeper into makeup, but I figured this is a good place to start.

Ditch The Mask

Ok so your first step is just don't wear foundation honestly. Most people don't actually like wearing it and, if you apply concealer correctly, you really don't need it on an everyday basis. Like do you really need full coverage for a day at work or running errands? Nah. Just conceal appropriately and lightly powder and you'll be fine. Save yourself the time and money.

Take It Easy

You only need one, maybe two, eyeshadows for an everyday no makeup look. All it takes is a tiny bit of product strategically placed and you'll look awake instead of looking like your soul fell into the void. Take a shimmer shadow or highlighter and put a tiny bit on your brow bone, a tiny bit on your eyelid in the center, a tiny bit on the inner corner of your eye and carry it under the inner corner a bit as well. Then take that same shimmer and highlight normally ( cheekbones, bridge of nose, cupid's bow, etc.). If you want extra dimension use a bronzer or a light brown in the crease lightly.

Use a clean spoolie

Ok so we have all been in the situation where you put on a couple of coats of mascara on and your lashes turn into spider legs. Gross. Nobody wants chunky, flaky, goopy mascara. You can buy packs of mascara wands for next to nothing in Walmart, Wish, Aliexpress, Amazon, etc. These also come in handy for brows, especially is you use a pomade or waterproof gel. Those products can get stuck really well in a non disposable spoolie. Just, use clean tools when touching your face. It's your freaking face man. I use these mascara wands since they are cheap and come in packs.

Go Ham On The Lipstick

A lot of people think that lipstick is only for full glam days. That would be fake news. One of the most beautiful trends in makeup is a nice clean face and a bold lip. Go nude, go neutral, GO NEON! Even better, don't wear lipstick and then you don't have to worry about touch ups. My point is don't save that bold red for a full glam. I want to see you wear that confidence on your face, even if you don't have time for full glam.

Practice Makes Decent

Nobody can perfect the craft of makeup, but some professionals have gotten a close as close gets. Now I haven't had the time or money to become a master makeup artist so I don't expect everyone else to be. All us normies can do is keep practicing until we are decent at it. It all washes off at the end of the day, so why not make some washable mistakes?

I firmly believe that makeup shouldn't be taken too seriously unless it's your job. Be kind to your skin, and play with as much (or as little) makeup as you want. Not every look works for every person. Find your look that YOU love and go for it!!

I love your tips! It is incredible how you came up with those. I didn’t think about buying a new spoolie for my mascara. Any tips on how to make your mascara not so clumpy? Wonderful blog! Thank you
